Happy NEWNESS Year

Happy New Year!!  I hope you had a wonderful and merry Christmas celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus!  I haven't been online much for the past couple of weeks.  We were visiting family up in Illinois and Missouri.  We enjoyed our time with family, and I hope you were able to spend time with family during the holiday season.

We returned home yesterday, just in time for the New Year.

Every New Years is a time when people reflect over the past year and ponder new beginnings for the present and future.

"Out with the old and in with the new!"

There is something about the changing of the dates that sparks in us aspirations to change as well.  We could start anytime of the year with new goals, but the New Year is when the desire heightens.

God is into doing new things also.

"Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert."  Isaiah 43:18-19

Do you feel like you have been lost in a wilderness?  God says He will build you a road.  Do you feel dry and dusty in your relationship with God? Or perhaps it is in your marriage relationship.  God says He will make a river of Living Water in the desert.

I pray for 2013 to be a year of NEWNESS for you.

Newness in your relationship with the Lord.  Newness in your relationship with your spouse or other loved ones.  Newness in your job or career.  Newness in opportunities.  Newness in health and fitness.  Newness in____________.  (You can fill in the blank with whatever you need made new--What new thing do you need the Lord to do in your life?)

Give 2013 to the Lord.  You can trust Him to make all things new (Rev 21:5).

Happy NEWNESS Year to you!!!
